Where to start?
This week went by fairly quickly. I wouldn't say as quickly as other weeks, but still very fast in my books. Unfortunately, I had no breaks this week but I did have many awkward one person classes.
It's such a different dynamic when you're only teaching one kid. On the bright side, you can cater to what you think will help them the most. As a downside, if they aren't very talkative, or their English is not very good, it makes for a challenge. Somehow I was nicer this week than I had been so far and still managed to give out three retests this week.
In other work-related news, we are getting a new manager tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. Hopefully the dynamic at the work place doesn't change too much because of it, and if it does, hopefully it changes for the better.
Other than that, it was a relatively quiet week and the same could be said of the weekend.
To start things off, I went out with people from Siji branch (Korean teachers and all) and had a good night with them, drinking a little bit and ending up at norebang later in the night.
On Saturday, Nick and I went shopping in the late afternoon and made some good purchases. Don't worry, I didn't spend too much money! Saturday night, I wasn't going to go out but Nick convinced me to later in the night. We had a lot of people in our group but I would say that it was an average night if anything.
Today, I mostly cleaned a bit and followed that up with some relaxation. The relaxation I'm going to need since the rest of the weekends here are probably going to get significantly more wild.
Let's review what's on the horizon:
I've got possibly my last weekend in Daegu next weekend plus Krissi's birthday. Should make for some good times and drunk times too.
The weekend after that, I'm going to the fabled mudfest.
After that, it's Seoul the next weekend for Stacey's birthday and some more drunkeness.
That would leave two weekends remaining in the trip, of which I only have loose plans for. If I had to have a perfect plan it would be to hit Busan the weekend after Seoul and then to hit a historical area close-by for a Saturday on my last weekend here.
June was a tad bit on the quiet side, probably because I drank a ton in May and was trying to make my trip not just one total drunk. But the remaining events I have call for some more exhaustive measures. So be on the lookout for distinct blog posts and hopefully some more pictures to Facebook sometime soon.
Until then, stay cool.
P.S.
Don't worry Fredericton, you're getting me back pretty soon! ;)
