I'm moved in!

So since the last time I posted I've now moved into my permanent address in Shiji and am beginning to settle in. I had a dinner (Korean barbeque) with Stewart and Queenie (two new teachers in Ulsan) as well as Chris, Lynn and Jammie from management. We killed some beer and of course I drank the most, went over some policies and all went well. On the way home I stopped into a Family Mart which is like a convenience store and bought a bottle of Soju which I proceeded to work on for the walk home. There's no law against having open booze outside in Korea and I'm quite happy about that.

Soju is like a dollar for a little bottle which will do the trick. Beer is quite cheap too. It's 12 dollars at a bar for a big 3L pitcher of beer. Not bad at all. Wine is pretty much on par with the prices at home. I think I'll pick up a bottle and polish it off tonight when I head to E-Mart to pick up a few things that I need.

I'm in the process of unpacking my things at my new apartment and am starting to settle in well. People from work are taking me out tonight for some food and some drinking. You can probably guess which I'll be doing more of if I have the choice!

I officially start teaching on Monday. It shouldn't be too bad, all in all. However I should admit that I fully expect to fuck up quite a bit in the beginning. But I know that I'll figure out good ways to do things eventually. Plus, once I get into a routine it'll all fly by.

My apartment is pretty sweet. It's quite a deal bigger than Nick's. I've got a toaster oven, microwave, fridge, working TV and DVD player, bathroom with usual things, seperate bedroom, seperate laundry hallway/room with a laundry machine, a drying rack, table and two chairs and a small corner I can put some shit in.

I know I said there would be pictures and I do intend to post a lot. Some to here and many on Facebook. I will get around to snapping some pics once I settle in and decide some places that I want to go and things I want to see.

As for now, I will continue to settle in and try to get used to the new things one step at a time.
