Well, this is it. Korean Chronicles in Daegu are now finished.
The last night ended with me staying up all night and talking to some friends, getting no sleep against better judgment, and leaving to cab and bus to Incheon Airport. From there on in, it was all waiting, being tired, and feeling like crap. But, after 30 hours and remarkably no complications, I managed to make it home with all my luggage!
The jetlag has been kind of rough but mostly as I've expected it. I had initial feelings of excitement but ended up going pretty much straight to bed after coming home. Yesterday saw me sleeping from around 7:30pm until 5am. Slowly but surely I am getting back to a regular sleeping schedule. At least I slept for a while, which was much needed since I think I was over-tired. Now all I have to do is force myself to go to sleep at certain times and I should be fine in no time at all.
Overall, I had a great time in Korea. Not gonna lie, I was a little bit sad leaving because I had to say goodbye to a cool place and some awesome people. Can't say that I'm positive about what the future will bring, but hopefully I can meet up with some of them again later on.
As for now, I plan to spend a few weeks relaxing and reconnecting with friends and family. After that, I have Melissa's wedding to look forward to where I can see a lot of people that I haven't seen in a while and then I'll work on finding a "career" type job.
I hope you've had as a great a time reading my blog as I've had writing it. If I get enough feedback, I could be persuaded to just write a normal blog as opposed to a trip blog. We'll see if anything comes of that thought. At any rate, thank you for following my records of my experiences in Korea. It's been a blast and I hope you have enjoyed this unique way of keeping track of what I have been doing.
Ty so glad you are back home, but sad that you will miss the good friends that you made. You will always have the great memories, and maybe we can get them to come to Canada to visit us!
